A site visit to Intel, a networking and social dinner and the 2010 MBA Association Inter-Business School Strategy Challenge are planned for the 11th June weekend.

The MBA Association is pleased to announce details of the 2010 MBA Association Inter-Business School Strategy Challenge and two associated events, making up a weekend of social and learning activity.

Memebrs and guests are invited to attend one or all of the three events.

The weekend begins with a site visit and presentation:

Intel Visit: 3pm Friday 11th June 2010

The event is a visit to Intel Ireland's Fab 24 facility in Leixlip www.intel.ie and will comprise a facility tour and management presentation.


The Intel Ireland campus in Kildare is Intel's largest outside the US. It is Intel's centre of manufacturing excellence in Europe and since 1990 Intel has invested some Euro 6 billion into making this the most technologically advanced industrial campus in Ireland, with employment of 4500 on site.

Intel Ireland's Leixlip plant is a truly world-class facility producing microprocessors and communication silicon chips that are at the heart of much of today's computing and communications revolution.

3.00pm on Friday 11th June 2010
Venue: Intel Ireland Campus, Collinstown Industrial Park, Leixlip, Co. Kildare
Itinerary:
* 2.45pm: MBAAI members assemble at Intel Plant
* 3.00pm: Fab 24 Tour
* 4.00pm: Presentation
* 4.30pm: Q&A session and refreshments
* 5.00pm: Departure.
It is important that visitors assemble at 2.45pm to allow time for processing
through security.

Dinner at The Stephens Green Hibernian Club

(members do not have to stay for dinner)

Following on from our afternoon visit to Intel, we are delighted to invite you to join us for Dinner at The Stephens Green Hibernian Club www.sghc.ie. This is a chance to relax and unwind with fellow MBAAI members and friends in a wonderful setting. Dinner will be in The Reading Room, which is located on the first floor of the Club at the top of the
grand staircase. It has five floor to ceiling sash windows with spectacular views over St Stephen's Green. The room is decorated in a traditional style, with the La Franchini plasterwork on the ceilings overhead and the large, working fireplaces at either end.

The MBA Association Inter-Business School Strategy Challenge  is on Saturday 12th June

Members and their guests are invited to the MBA Association of Ireland's annual Inter-Business School Strategy Challenge which takes place at DCU at 3.00 p.m. The Forum will bring together teams of final year MBA students from MBA Programmes throughout Ireland to participate in a business strategy competition.

We've had a great uptake for this event with a record number of teams participating this year, representing business schools all over Ireland.

From early morning, the teams will be involved in their analysis of the Challange case study and in the afternoon each team will present their analysis and strategy recommendations. Members and guests can attend the afternoon presentations.

Event details are as follows
Venue:
3rd Floor Foyer, Dublin City University Business School , Dublin 9
Time/Date: 3.00pm on Saturday 12th June

Itinerary:
* 3.15pm to 5.30 pm: Team Presentations
* 5.30 pm to 6.00pm: Reception, while judges consider their verdict
* 6.00pm: Dinner in The Long Room at DCU, Forum Results and Awards presentation ceremony.

And afterwards - A Celebratory Dinner:

The day will conclude with a celebratory dinner in The Long Room at DCU Business School, commencing at 6.00pm. The dinner is free of charge to all students and accompanying academics taking part in the Strategy Challenge. Guests can also attend the dinner at a charge of EUR30.00 per head.
